The MedHum Seminar

What is anxiety? When is it just a part of the human condition, when is it a cultural expression, and when does it become pathological? Can we use metaphors to understand anxiety, and to help people suffering from it? In this seminar, we enter into an interdisciplinary dialogue about anxiety and about how games might represent–and perhaps soothe–this emotion.

Malin Gingnell, Department of Psychology/Department of Neuroscience: "Keep away or stay – anxiety disorders, neurobiology and treatment.”

Doris Rusch, Department of Game Design: "Grappling ghosts – Metaphorical game design to make intangible aspects of the human experience tangible."
