Anna Victoria Hallberg and Magnus Bremmer: "The futures of the humanities"

Presentation
What are the practical means for strengthening the presence of the humanities in policy work and the public sphere? How are ongoing transformations of the media landscape and new systems of metrics affecting such efforts? What are the real challenges and lesser-known pitfalls? At this seminar we are fortunate two have two guests that can provide very relevant experiences and fresh perspectives. Anna Victoria Hallberg has worked in several capacities with policy issues in the humanities after finishing her dissertation on Iris Murdochs novels six years ago and will draw on her inside knowledge from taking on such questions. Magnus Bremmer is also a literary scholar (PhD 2015) who has a gained a lot of practical insights into these questions, foremost as the creator, producer and host of the popular podcast, Bildningspodden!

After the two introductions we will have plenty of time for stimulating discussions and refreshments.
